
Apostle Dr. Ebenezer Hagan is the Youth Director of The Church of Pentecost and Patron of PENSA International, the Church’s global campus ministry. He also serves as an adjunct lecturer at Pentecost University and a mentor with the Mentoring for Value-Based Leadership Transformation in Africa (MELT) programme under the Gideon and Funmi Para-Mallam Peace Foundation. Additionally, he is a Mentor at the Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering (4th Cohort). With over twenty-five years of experience in youth ministry and Christian education, he is widely recognized for his leadership, scholarship, and commitment to shaping the character and spiritual development of young people across Africa.
Dr. Hagan earned his PhD in Educational Studies from the Talbot School of Theology, Biola University (USA), where his research focused on integrated models of character and virtue formation among contemporary Ghanaian youth. His academic training includes a Master of Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Pentecostal Studies from Pentecost University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Society of Professors of Christian Ministry (SPCM), the Association of Youth Ministry Educators (AYME), and the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry (IASYM), where some of his academic work has been published and presented.

Dr. Hagan is the author of several influential books on youth ministry and Christian formation, including Wholistic Youth Development: Perspectives from African (Ghanaian) urban Pentecostal and Charismatic Christianity, Lessons for the Young Anointed (Vols. 1 & 2), Mr. Holy Spirit: Experiencing the Person of the Holy Spirit Today, and the Programming Guide for Wholistic Youth Development. His forthcoming work, Moral Intelligence in a New Africa, explores contemporary approaches to character and virtue development grounded in African Christian realities. He has presented scholarly papers at international conferences across the United States, Europe, and Africa, contributing significantly to global youth ministry discourse.
A church leader, educator, and emerging African scholar, Apostle Dr. Hagan continues to influence youth ministry practice and academic conversations on Christian formation, virtue ethics, and holistic development on the continent and beyond. Dr. Hagan is married to Mrs. Priscilla Adadzewa Hagan. They have been married for about two decades and are blessed with three beautiful girls.
